Terms for the private beta

These terms are a plain-language beta notice. Final operator details and a public contact must be supplied before wider release.

Educational purpose

The Grid is a supplementary revision aid. It does not replace teaching, official QCAA documents, professional advice or a school's assessment requirements. Question feedback and AI-assisted explanations can be incomplete or wrong and should be checked against reliable sources.

Accounts

Users must provide accurate account information, keep passwords private and use the service only through their own account. If a user cannot agree to online service terms because of age or school policy, they should use the service only with the approval required by their parent, guardian or school.

Age and authority

A person purchasing a plan must be at least 18 years old or otherwise have legal authority to enter the purchase. Student use must follow any parent, guardian or school requirements that apply to that student. The Grid does not claim that a student's independent use is automatically authorised.

Payments and subscriptions

No paid plan may be offered from this build. The total price, billing frequency, automatic renewal, cancellation process and any trial conditions must be displayed before purchase.

Consumer rights and refunds

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies consumer guarantees or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Where a remedy is required by law, eligible users may be entitled to rectification, cancellation, a refund for an unused portion, or compensation depending on the circumstances. Change-of-mind treatment, if offered, must be stated separately at checkout.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the service, bypass access controls, extract private marking material, submit malicious content, access another person's data or use automated traffic that harms availability.

Beta availability

Features and content can change during beta. The service may be interrupted for maintenance or correction. No result, readiness colour or generated explanation guarantees an assessment outcome.

Curriculum and third-party material

The Grid is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by QCAA. QCAA's own information is generally available under CC BY 4.0 subject to QCAA's stated exceptions. Rights-reviewed modified items are attributed beside the question and linked to CC BY 4.0. QCAA/QSA trademarks, government coats of arms, third-party content, alternative copyright notices, student material, student images and glossary definitions are not assumed to be covered. Only source material that has passed item-level rights review should be published.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland and applicable Commonwealth laws. Courts and tribunals with jurisdiction in Queensland may hear disputes, subject to any non-excludable right to bring a claim elsewhere.
